ABSTRACT: This study investigated the Effects of Early Childhood Education on Parental Involvement in School Governance. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the influence of early childhood education (ECE) programs on parental involvement in school governance, (2) assess the impact of parent participation activities on educational outcomes, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of parental engagement on school-community relations. A survey design was chosen for this research to collect comprehensive data from educators, parents, and community members about their experiences with parental involvement in ECE settings. A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and community leaders, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Plateau State, Nigeria, known for its active parent-teacher associations and collaborative governance models. Findings indicated that ECE programs significantly increased parental involvement in school governance, leading to improved educational outcomes and strengthened school-community relations. It was recommended that early childhood education centers continue to foster parent engagement through collaborative initiatives and provide resources for effective school governance.
